Brave exploration, and braver revelation submitted by larkspur on March 25, 2008, 6:52pm Most readers could learn a fair amount about their own faith tradition(s) -- let alone their fellows' -- from some of the issues and texts and stories the authors wrestle with together in _The Faith Club_. In my case, I was aware of the basic doctrinal questions they faced, but I could still be inspired with their fearlessness in facing each other and, now, the world, and in facing us *as they are*, flaws and prejudices and all. I like to say that a religion that was *not* as complex and maddening and, yes, contradictory as the living of real life would have little to say to me. Well, all these traditions, as lived by these women, have something to say to me. Their project is indeed very important, and one we (their readers) should expand upon and carry on.
