many adventures of Jim submitted by camelsamba on June 24, 2014, 8:25pm My 5th grade son was reading this for a school book club, and we read parts of it together at bedtime. As a result, I read some bits near the beginning and much of the last half. I've read various abridged versions of Treasure Island before, so I knew the basic storyline. Why I didn't realize was how many adventures Jim has on his own in between arriving at the island and departure - e.g. finding Ben Gunn, then Ben's coracle, the whole bit with the Hispaniola+Isaiah Hands+red cap, etc. Kind of makes me wonder what I missed from the middle!
