Dramatizes the experiences of lesbians in the United States in three different decades. 1961 tells the story of an older lesbian who is left out of the decision-making process in the wake of her partner's sudden death. 1972 looks at the role of lesbians in the feminist movement of the 1970's through the eyes of a college-age couple. 2000 features a lesbian couple trying to conceive a child.

Lesbian Romance submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on July 22, 2013, 10:15pm "If these walls could talk 2" (check out ITWCT 1, for another great movie), tells three stories, about three lesbian couples, all of whom live in the same house but in different decades.
The first is the story of a lesbian couple in 1961 who must live in the closet, and the terrible consequences of homophobia and heterosexism. This story is very sad.
The 1972 story is more about transphobia and the push for conformity among a feminist group on campus and among the lesbians who are kicked out of the group at the behest of the college administration. This story is also very sad.
The last story, set in 2000 stars Ellen DeGeneres and Sharon Stone as a couple trying to have a baby through artificial insemination. It is hilarious, happy and a great end to the movie.
Many critics have criticized the movie for having an almost exclusive Euro-American cast. Indeed, most of the main characters are blonde.
