Fairly Good

I was a little leery of reading this text, since the typical autism narrative seems to be "oh, my son is a genius locked in an unresponsive body, I must break though to save him." However, I was pleasantly surprised by McGovern - she was sensitive to the disorder without being wishy-washy about it, and was able to craft a complex and realistic mystery.
My one complaint was that the book got confusing at times - there wasn't any obvious sign-posting when switching between past and present, and there were a lot of POV shifts. I had to read this book twice and actually write down the sequence of events before I really "got it".
