A Town Full of Broken Dreams submitted by shira.pilarski on July 19, 2020, 9:18pm The ex-football star bartender wants to play again, the elderly teacher wants to be young and beautiful again, the main character's father wants to regain his glorious youth! (See "Philosophy of the World" by The Shaggs). The dark carnival is in town, ready to exploit these poor souls and give them everything they desire -- for a price! (Jonathan Pryce, to be exact). As a kid, I found this movie creepy. Watching it for the first time in years, it fell slightly flat, but still should be praised for its visuals, which are peak '80s music video, and Jason Robards' gruff, laconic performance. Pam Grier's presence doesn't hurt either, even though she only has two or three lines in the whole movie.

Terrifying for young ages submitted by Abbie D. on July 9, 2022, 12:03pm I watched this when I was around 12 and it scared the crap out of me. Never watched it again and I'm not sure I want to. I like circuses and would rather not be terrified of them. This one's a nope for me!
