COMMUNITY REVIEWS

pretty in pink submitted by a2sue on August 16, 2013, 5:23pm i really loved ducky and was disappointed that he didn't end up with andie. i love the song on the soundtrack "if you leave". lots of fun all around!

Don't get the hype submitted by llwalsh on July 22, 2014, 10:42pm I don't really understand why this movie is such a classic, other than its association with John Hughes. The high school is unrealistically polarized, and Ringwald's character is a bit too moody for me.

Classic girl-from-the-other-side-of-the-tracks story submitted by doctorfang on August 2, 2015, 6:41pm Molly Ringwald grew up on the wrong side of the track, but is attracted to rich, popular kid Andrew McCarthy. But none of that really matters. This is a fun movie that captures 1980s high school perfectly, if not a little extreme when it comes to stereotypes of the "haves" and the "have nots". One of my guilty pleasures.

Don't bother submitted by gardenfaerie on September 7, 2019, 6:25am James Spader and Annie Potts are the only vague reason to watch this. I think he had fun with it. The two main "love interest" characters were ho hum bland. And you just ended up feeling really sorry for Duckie. Breakfast Club is better, if you want this genre of movie.
