Excellent book submitted by dumusicgirl on August 6, 2013, 3:07pm This is an excellent account of the Holocaust from the perspective of a surviviour. I would recommend reading the original Yiddish version too.

Holocaust perspective submitted by cmaque on July 11, 2016, 7:39am Excellent, and a relatively quick read. Elie Wiesel tells the story of his experience during WWII. Haunting, but an important story. Appropriate for high school level readers.

Excellent submitted by ekharris on August 6, 2018, 12:07pm I have read this book a few times in life. I remember it was one of the first books that got me interested in history. It's a powerful narrative about Elie Wiesel's experience at a Nazi concentration camp during World War II. Before reading this book for the first time, history to me was a collection of information about old white guys from hundreds of years ago. Reading this book and hearing a first person perspective of the horrific events that occurred made me emotionally connected to history in a way I hadn't been before. I think I first read it when I was about 15 and I think that was a good age to be introduced to this work. Wonderful book.

Great book! submitted by lpy on August 30, 2018, 4:16pm It makes you reflect a lot.
