Haunting Sounds submitted by rleer24 on August 1, 2008, 3:21pm While there are parts of the soundtrack that I do not like as well as others, I love Sayuri's Theme and The Chairman's Waltz. John Williams did an excellent job on this soundtrack, and the work by Yo-Yo Ma and Itzhak Perlman is superb as always. Other tracks that are hauntingly beautiful include As the Water, Confluence, and A Dream Discarded. Whether you are a steadfast lover of the book and refuse to view the movie, whether you prefer the movie to the book, or whether you enjoy both, this music sets a lovely tone...perfect for the setting the tone of the film and enjoyable to play in the background while reading the book.
