Veronica Mars is a tough teen who takes no crap from everyone. When her best friend (who is also her boyfriend's sister) is murdered, Veronica's dad, the local Sheriff tries to solve the case but is thwarted and so voted out of office. Don't worry, Veronica saves the day in the end. She still faces more than her fair share of difficulties, including financial insecurity due to her dad's job loss and a mother who has walked out on the family.
