Read by Michael Kramer.
A headless body washes up next to the riverside train station in a suburban town. The victim is the lifelong best friend of Lynn Schulman, who's just moved back to town with her family. The police investigator assigned to the case turns out to be her high school boyfriend, Michael Fallon, who stalked her after she broke off their relationship all those years ago. Michael has become a respected figure in town, but one thing hasn't changed: he's still obsessed with Lynn. Tensions boil over, friends turn against one another, old secrets are unearthed, and it becomes clear that the murder isn't an isolated case.
