Broad coverage, somewhat technical submitted by FordAlpha on July 8, 2018, 11:08pm This field guide covers all of North America, so it can't include all the species you might find in our region, although it's fairly comprehensive in species coverage. The book is compact and tidily formatted, but more technical than other layperson’s guides. It includes excellent illustrations, diagrams, and explanations, and uses dichotomous keys for identification, which (once you learn to use them) can provide more confident identifications.
