The story is interesting and carries a lot of dramatic tension, the cinematography is interesting, and the music is timeless. I can't believe it took me so long to finally see this film but I am glad that I did!

practically perfect in every way submitted by ssb76 on June 14, 2023, 4:37pm to quote another julie andrews classic, this movie is one of my all-time favorites. its aged relatively well, and i still go back to it time and time again for the acting, the songs, and the cinematography. i watched it as a young child and continue to rewatch it decades later. strongly recommend!

Some of plot takes a stretch but it's a musical so that's not unexpected. Give it a chance and you very well may love it

An important depiction of resistance ( the nuns taking apart the car) and love (for the kids and for the captain), even in a time of lots of political uprising and hate. Such wonderful music
