Scream
There is never anything decent to watch on tv, especially not when I have spare time. This means I peruse the "Free Movies" section on tv when spare time strikes. Sometimes even the Free Movies fail me, and a couple days ago I gave up and threw on Scream, thinking it would at least help me fall asleep. Surprisingly, the movie was much funnier and clever than I remembered it being. As a kid or a teenager, movies like that appeal to you in that slumber party mentality: all you zero in on is the sleazy or disturbing parts. But it's actually a decent movie for us old people to enjoy, chock full of hilarious teenage angst and cheesiness, and a good soundtrack to boot. Also, I had no idea until rewatching it that Rose McGowan played the role of the best friend.
