Great Settings But I Miss the Bouncing Mickey Head submitted by Meginator on August 5, 2020, 5:21pm This video varies somewhat from the traditional Disney Sing Along Songs format, with Flik’s narration providing facts about Disney’s Animal Kingdom and about some of the animals visitors may encounter there. Most of the songs were new to me or heavily edited, and the visualized lyrics often dropped out at the second chorus; this, along with the distinct lack of a bouncing Mickey Mouse head, makes the songs somewhat difficult to follow. The song selection is uneven and features heavily altered Disney classics; non-Disney tracks like “You Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby” and “Walk the Dinosaur”(!); and an unfortunate reworking of “The Siamese Cat Song” that focuses on the park’s Asia area. The animal footage is excellent, but the overall production quality is much lower than other Disney Sing Along Songs videos, making this a bit of a disappointment. Nonetheless, it’s not a bad video to watch prior to a visit to the park.
