Marvelous Muppets submitted by Fevvers - STAR473 on July 15, 2014, 6:48am Still the bar by which shows are judged, particularly ones that appeal to both children and adults. Built around the idea of a variety show, it delivered variety in every possible way: puppets and humans, puns and slapstick, guest stars whom only the adult viewers would know but whose scenes still entertained the kids. Music, skits, and the craziness going on backstage in the Muppet Theater - an innovative show that holds up. As a kid, I hardly knew who the guest stars were, but I'm impressed now, both by the guest stars willingness to participate in this madness and whoever got them on the show in the first place.
