The Children of Marx and Coca-Cola submitted by breaking_glass on August 23, 2010, 3:09pm Robert: Ever notice there's the word "mask" in masculine? And also "ass"?

Paul: And in feminine?

Robert: Nothing.

This 15 scene film is Godard's take on young people in the mid-60s - "The Children of Marx and Coca-Cola." A dreamy Jean-Pierre LĂ©aud stars as Paul, who falls in love with the beautiful chanteuse, Madeleine (Chantal Goya). Many of the scenes focus on their relationship, but there are plenty of scenes that also focus on interactions with their circle of friends. So the scenes are long-ish, and focus on issues such as relationships and sex, to discussions about topics such as Bob Dylan, birth control and Vietnam. If you're a Tarantino fan - it becomes quite clear he was really inspired by Godard.

I love this film, and I think you might, too.
