For The Kids submitted by SBNB on June 19, 2014, 12:01pm It's a nice set of songs for kids. Too and Three are better though.

Delightful submitted by FordAlpha on August 20, 2018, 10:04pm Produced by a Canadian non-profit for the benefit of children's charities, this album is a delight. The mostly Canadian artists perform a mix of covers and original songs; the covers are mostly from the Muppet/Sesame Street musical canon. There's a nice blend of bouncy, up-tempo numbers and quiet, contemplative lullabies. Although the performers don't take great liberties with the cover songs, their renditions are distinctive and memorable. I'm not a Sarah McLachlan fan in general, but her "Rainbow Connection" is lovely. The band Cake is eminently well suited to cover "Mahna Mahna", and their version (which opens the album) may be definitive. My kids will listen to it on infinite repeat; good thing I like Cake. The original songs are not uniformly successful; there are a couple of murmuring, trance-y numbers that neither I nor my kids can make anything of. But there are some real gems, like the energetic, heartfelt punk of "Snow Day", and other than those couple of weird ones, hardly a dud on the disc.
