Non-stop ridiculousness submitted by Ilyjtwya on July 13, 2012, 1:49am Like The Pirates in an adventure with Scientists, the book is filled with with absurdity at every turn. The Pirate Captain is amusing with the combination of his ignorance and the crews continual deferrence to his "wisdom". There are quite a few modern concepts, along with things that definitely did not exist, such as modern Las Vegas or tennis courts on the deck of a pirate ship. I also really enjoyed the explanatory "notes" sprinkled through out the text. They sound legitimate, but in light of the rest of the book I would have to guess that they are only loosely based on facts.

This book is decent humorous reading, although at times the craziness seems to be too much.
