COMMUNITY REVIEWS
Endearing submitted by jfogart on June 27, 2014, 11:46pm This is one of my favorite movies - it has a slow pace with a lot of Scottish scenery and interesting musical accompaniment. The dialogue isn't rushed and at times is unbearably drawn out (in a good way) - it seems more realistic of how people would behave given the situation of the main characters. Jack McElhone does a great job of getting the audience emotionally attached to his character despite the fact he only has one spoken line in the entire movie (there is occasional voice over from the letters he writes to his "father"). I've lost count of the number of time I've watched this movie. The interaction between Emily Mortimer and Gerard Butler never gets old.
