Get a clue submitted by honordenver on June 20, 2012, 3:03pm this was a good movie not the best and it is forgettable but its alright

A Rare Miss From This Era submitted by Meginator on August 12, 2020, 7:49pm This Disney Channel Original Movie is, unfortunately, better on paper than in reality, though it does have its high points. Lindsay Lohan doesn’t deliver her best performance, though to be fair the characterization is rather thin all around and the script doesn’t give her much to do; all of the main characters are remarkably one-dimensional, making it difficult to care about the story or completely buy into its (attempted) emotional beats. The plot is, at its core, more of a spy story than the detective story I expected from the title and premise, but it turns on a surprisingly clever twist that makes up for some of the film’s other foibles. Overall, this makes for a reasonably accessible introduction to spy stories that should please a preteen audience, but it lacks the necessary depth and character development to be truly memorable or particularly appealing to audiences outside of a narrow age range.
