I adore Geraldine McEwan as Miss Marple. She's kind, she's warm, she's spry, she's funny and clever and charming. You can understand why she has so many friends who rely on her wisdom and company.
These adaptations take liberties from the original stories to build suspense and add drama, but I think they are still very true to the spirit of the mystery. Very fun to watch.
