COMMUNITY REVIEWS
One of Crutcher's Best submitted by JJM.Deucher on June 25, 2023, 7:57am Crutcher's books have tackled racism, sexism, bully, ableism, and homophobia decades before that became the norm in YA books. He also strikes an excellent balance in acknowledging that there are bad adults (and people in general) while also showing that there are adults that care about kids even if they aren't your biological parents. Whale Talk is one of my favorites of Crutcher's and I think I've listened to it at least 5 times since my middle school Language Arts teacher introduced me to his writing.
