Arm of Kannon--unnecessarily gruesome
submitted by Quoniam on May 27, 2008, 5:25pm
A Japanese archaeologist by the name of Tozo Mikami has spent many years of his life searching for an ancient Buddhist relic called the "Arm of Kannon", which is said to give the owner the power to rule the world. He finds the relic, but it possesses him, and makes him crave human flesh as his primary source of nutrition. Soon Mikami dies, but the Arm possesses his son Mao.
This manga is filled with perhaps some of the most grotesque imagery the world has ever seen, and most of it is quite unnecessary for the plot, which would otherwise make this a worthwhile read.
