Good for car trips with our 5 year old submitted by oonk on July 4, 2011, 3:03pm We have been listening to all sorts of Audio books on our long car rides. Junie B Jones and the A-Z Mysteries were the first two series recommended. The stories and short and funny for both parents and my 5 year old (Junie's boisterious personality gets her into trouble but she is not too obnoxious.) The reader (Lana Quintal) is nice and animated captures the spirit of a kindergartner well.

blah - for Junie.. submitted by KSB2013 on July 14, 2013, 1:25am The Cd was scratched a little and to tell you the truth the whiny voice and mischief is annoying. the bad pronunciations from Junie make me cringe and doubt why I am encouraging my child to listen to bad english. I have bad enough english why keep feeding it by the truckload?

I got the CDs for the kids but after the scratches we just didn't want to deal with it anymore.

I know it's supposed to be how a little kid would talk or spell, but it was torture to read it with my kid and constantly tell her all the things that were incorrect. I like to read with her to help her improve her vocabulary, grammar, and spelling, not make them worse.
