Fun submitted by Zekicmom on July 7, 2013, 8:02pm I don't especially care for baseball, but that didn't stop me from really enjoying this movie. Great cast.
Play ball! submitted by manz on June 17, 2016, 1:49pm A class summer baseball movie. A must-see if you're into baseball films like I am.

Susan Sarandon sassy and smart

I loved Sarandon’s character, a small town woman who loves baseball and baseball players too. The intensity with which she follows this minor league team (very minor) every summer would make you think she’s just a bit crazy fan. But au contraire. What she really likes are the players and every summer she picks out one player to teach him a few things.
Robbins plays a guy who’s floundering in general but Sarandon knows just what will help him get focused. Warning: little kids shouldn’t watch key scenes, especially one that involves a kitchen table.
A has been catcher teaches a future star how to treat the game.

Perfect! submitted by mandevil on April 19, 2021, 11:43am A great movie
Good baseball submitted by brooksza on August 15, 2022, 11:52am I mostly enjoyed this. Some funny moments and Susan Sarandon was a force on screen. I liked some of the camera movements (like the passing of notes). Felt like a nostalgic movie.
