Robin Williams, Forest Whitaker.
Imported by the Army for an early morning radio show in Vietnam, disc jockey Adrian Cronauer (Robin Williams) blasts the formerly staid, sanitized airwaves with a constant barrage of rapid-fire humor and the hottest hits from back home. The G.I.'s love him, but the brass is up in arms.

Excellent movie submitted by jszchen on August 22, 2011, 8:52pm There never has been, and probably never will be, another film which shows both sides of Williams to such a great degree.

As the wise-cracking disc-jockey, Williams shows his undisputed wild comedic talent, but the bomb scene and scenes of rural Vietnam life, truly allow Williams to such his dramatic acting ability. They look at the conflict, without getting in too deep.

Believe it was based on the real disc jockey Adrian Cronauer experiences.

Great comedy submitted by beeniepie on August 27, 2014, 6:58pm Another great example of how Robin Williams is a comic and dramatic genius. I also enjoyed the film's soundtrack.

great movie submitted by Jackie77 on August 31, 2015, 9:59am Great clasic robin williams. His comedy is hilarious in this film. Dramatic scenes are done just as well. Great mix between the two for the entire movie.

ok submitted by kbahleda on July 23, 2018, 10:37am One of my friend's favs but I didn't like it as much as I thought I would

I love Robin Williams submitted by tbbrown76 on July 24, 2019, 11:30pm But, the plot is kind of painful. Music is good! Semi-recommended due to the story line in Vietnam Nam and the violence.
