New Wave + Pop submitted by Meginator on June 12, 2021, 9:25am This album, which includes the iconic “Heart of Glass”, is a blend of new wave and pop aesthetics, with a hint of punk thrown in here and there for good measure. I was happily surprised by the prominence of interesting bass lines throughout, which is a bit of a rarity in rock music. The songs do feel a bit of their particular era, but that doesn’t mean they don’t still have a solid groove to them, and the album holds up really well overall.
