Nice Story

This was a cute story about a family who adopts a gigantic tree in their yard and how it plays a major role in their lives through the years. The illustrations were sweet and detailed, and the writing was from the perspective of a father writing a letter to his grown-up children. I wasn't quite sure about the ending though. It was sad, and I'm not sure I understood what it was saying at the end, but it was a nice sentiment.

wish i had a tree named steve

What a wonderful nostalgia ridden book. Of course David Catrow is awesome. Good for ages 3 and up I'd say.
