Spin

The idea in this book is interesting but the story isn't really all that great. Most of the story is about the main character and his relationship with a couple of his childhood friends. For a science fiction book, the "everyday life" aspect isn't very well tied in with the science fiction elements, and at the end of the book it is apparent that the main characters never really accomplished much of anything.
