The return of Rincewind
submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on August 13, 2012, 7:58pm
"Interesting Times" brings us the return of the loveable loser wizard Rincewind and his animate, loyal and cranky Luggage, which follows him on numerous feet. The Discworld's head wizard sends Rincewind to the counterweight continent (analogous to our Australia) as a sort-of ambassador. Nothing goes according to plan, of course, and Rincewind meets with friends from former adventures.
One of Pratchett's 39 Discworld books, which I love very much and so do many readers that author Sir Terry Pratchett is now one of the highest rated British writers. I highly recommend all his books.
Unlikely allies submitted by Marian on August 26, 2015, 7:20am The unlikely interaction of Rincewind, Cohen the Barbarian (and his Horde), Twoflower, and former geography teacher Ronald Saveloy results in another remarkable parody / satire / morality tale that only Terry Pratchett could create.
Enjoyable submitted by kimberlina on July 31, 2021, 12:01pm The audiobooks are so well read by the narrator. The pace, tone and silliness of the voices are amazing! The stories are a bit silly, but fun in their fantastical way. I need to listen carefully at times to catch the humor and subtle connections. Worth listening to.
