There's this feller I want to tell you about.... submitted by irenzero on April 18, 2008, 6:20pm I did see the movie first, and liked it, not beacuse of all the evil in the world, somethings you just have to let go or it will eat you up stuff... but because of the quite spaces, and the open moments, the disjointed panic of a story that is essentally about life, it's paths, it's choices and it's end. The book is a solid read, if you are looking for language, or something the leaves the holes, leaves the room for thought and for not knowing. Life isn't simple, and answers aren't the most easy, and this is a book that reflects that... and I wish there were more people who could find away to enjoy that...... oh and it's about a guy who finds a bag of money, the killer that is after him, and the Texas Sheriff who is following the whole thing.

No Country for Old Men submitted by rosander on December 4, 2010, 12:05pm I also saw the movie first. The book fills in more of the story of the sheriff and all the things clamoring around inside his head. The dialogue is sparse, but done very well. McCarthy also leaves the reader to keep up with his style of writing; very little punctuation, no romantic descriptions of the settings, but hard and coarse like the Texas area they're all in.
