Country Jimmy Buffett submitted by Meginator on August 31, 2019, 10:10pm This album offers non-stop laid-back vibes, like a more relaxed, more introspective Jimmy Buffett. The music sticks to traditional country instrumentation, with a heavy focus on acoustic guitar, with the notable exception of the calypso-infused “Guitars and Tiki Bars”. Chesney mostly sticks to himself and island life as subjects, but displays his storytelling chops on a couple of tracks; the album has some appealing emotional depth to it but not a lot of musical variety. It's bound to make you relaxed, though, if nothing else.
