One of Mexico's states is undergoing a religious purge. Every Catholic priest is being arrested. This is the story of such a man, on the run through the jungles, villages and plantations.

COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Soli Deo gloria! submitted by K09Aguilera on July 7, 2017, 6:28pm Beautiful. In the midst of the unimaginable grit of life -of sin, death, and despair- Greene illustrates why our suffering matters. The priest is exposed completely; all his most intimate sins laid before him. But the power he has,"to change the bread into the Body" leaves him with the responsiblity to celebrate the Mass in a political climate that does not allow the Faith. He grapples whether his mortal sins even give him the authority to say Mass, hear confessions, and console the spiritually wounded when he is the only man in Mexico who is stil a padre.
