Hard to Read but Worth It

I found this a hard book to get through even though I was committed to absorbing every note. The author is erudite and at times very funny, but the ideas and ultimate execution were choppy and therefore difficult to absorb. The best stuff didn't come until Chapter 12 (of 15!) and then in the end it becomes almost an ad for his new program to aid in brain stability/growth. This training is available only in New York and described only in the broadest terms.
What I liked best about the book was the support for ART as a means for neuronal growth. Since I am an art therapist working with brain-injured people it was thrilling to find this bit of news. That art-making grows neurons is something I always knew but didn't have the capacity to prove.
