Charming submitted by willow on August 11, 2015, 10:13pm I find this DVD to be very charming and soothing. Because it has no words, but has dance sequences, it is restful and also interesting for those who know the stories already as the storylines are not clearly explored in a linear fashion; it is more suggestions and scenes from the stories. The characters are costumed but all have delicate legs and feet, in a way that is sweet rather than absurd; Rogert Ebert said this movie has "almost clumsy charm."
Lovely submitted by Avliss on August 18, 2015, 1:42pm Like AADL user willow, I find this DVD restful and charming. The costumes, while inherently clumsy, retain enough grace to charm the viewers, and the dancers themselves are incredibly skilled. I especially love this ballet's rendition of "The Tale of Jeremy Fisher".
