A Complicated Story submitted by Beth Manuel on September 20, 2007, 11:40am This story is told by 15 year old Nomi who longs for a 'normal' lifestyle living in her small Mennonite town. She is conflicted and acts accordingly. She misses her sister and mother terribly as she and her teacher-father try to make a life for themselves with only half their family intact. This book touches on loss and depression from the sarcastic voice of a teen girl in the '70's.

smartly written book submitted by bookher on August 6, 2015, 6:11pm I came across this book while browsing the library shelves and am so glad I picked it up. What a funny, smart book about a sharp young lady growing up in a mennonite community.
