Very Odd, Yet Charming submitted by Meginator on August 1, 2022, 4:01pm This book is a little odd, but I got a kick out of it. In this story, Petunia the goose finds love but must rescue her would-be lover from the Christmas table, and she resorts to a brazen, surprisingly colorful plan that is so out there that it just might work. The illustrations add much to the book’s charm and humor, employing a few different page layouts to change up the pacing and to make the story feel more immediate in a few places. Some readers may want to tread carefully as the story does include the threat of the geese being shot, but everything ends happily in the end for all involved. I can’t wait to read about more of Petunia’s adventures.
