Includes blackface submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on August 21, 2012, 10:43am In the second season of "Jeeves and Wooster" Hugh Laurie and other actors appear in blackface. I do not know if this was an attempt by the production company to stay true (so to speak) to the original story or the ideas of what people in 1920s Britain thought was acceptable.
Generally, "Jeeves and Wooster" is a humerous adaptation of the PG Wodehouse series starring Hugh Laurie ("House") as rich but not bright playboy Wooster and Stephen Fry ("Kingdom") as his valet Jeeves who always saves the day.
