snowspeeders submitted by steelersfan1 on June 24, 2011, 8:14am the battle of hoth was so cool because of the snowspeeders

Not my favorite submitted by Sonia on June 28, 2011, 8:32am I really enjoy the first part of this movie, the skirmish that takes place on Hoth. However I don't think the rest of the movie is as good. Still worth watching just not my favorite Star Wars movie.

yoda submitted by adimarzo on July 7, 2011, 12:04pm This is my favorite Star Wars movie. The characters are becoming more well-developed, Mark Hamill's acting has improved and it introduces one of the best Star Wars characters - Yoda!

COOL submitted by drewy234432 on July 9, 2011, 5:02pm My favorite parts was when Luke freezes and the cut the monster that Han solos riding on and put luke inside of it.

Snow! submitted by crazypockets on August 9, 2013, 2:28pm I think this might be the best of the original three. I like the different storylines, and there are some nice surprises and GREAT, classic lines.

My absolute favorite Star Wars movie submitted by beeniepie on August 11, 2013, 1:51pm The most developed (plot wise) movie of the trilogy. Every man wanted to be Han Solo after seeing this movie. And every woman wanted a Han Solo.

Empire Strikes Back submitted by SBNB on June 26, 2014, 7:23pm I know this one is considered the best Star Wars movie, but I'm not sure that it was my favorite. Don't get me wrong though, I loved it!

Best of the Trilogy submitted by Fevvers - STAR473 on August 28, 2014, 2:45am Empire Strikes Back is the best of the original trilogy. It's a perfect bridge, it's has its own heavy themes, and introduces new places, problems, and characters without making the story feel overloaded. We get Lando, and Hoth, and a stunningly brutal ending. I love it. It knows.

GOOD submitted by maximus on July 1, 2015, 7:23pm GOOD

Even Nerfherders Love It submitted by MH17 on June 19, 2017, 9:23pm The best of the trilogy, The Empire Strikes Back includes some of the best settings of the series: the ice planet Hoth, the swamps of Dagobah and the Cloud City are all fascinating and full of surprises. Tight storytelling and intriguing characters keep the pace clipping along, credit Lawrence Kasdan. Of note is Han and Princess Leia's relationship, which heats up, even if she thinks Han is a scruffy looking Nerf Herder, and the first appearance of old Yoda, the most unlikely of Jedis, the most charming of Jedis. The supporting cast can't be beat, either, with appearances by Boba Fett, Bosk, Lando, the abominable snowman creature, the Tauntaun, those tiny pigmen who live in cloud city and that cyborg with the metal ring that looks like male pattern baldness. A movie that holds up after many a re-watching and the real gem of the franchise, The Empire Strikes Back earns five stars.

Iconic Science Fiction Classic submitted by Meginator on July 26, 2017, 4:51pm The Empire Strikes Back is responsible for many of the most iconic Star Wars moments, including THAT line, the ice planet Hoth, and the introduction of the indomitable Yoda. Its reputation as the best film of the series remains intact after several viewings, especially as the film's technical aspects are all markedly improved. This film showcases George Lucas's greatest strengths (his imagination and special effects work) and is an excellent middle film, even if it's difficult to watch in isolation if you aren't very familiar with the other two original trilogy films.
