great book!!! submitted by Maria97 on July 6, 2011, 10:47pm This is a great book! It really starts off the series.

Peter Pan is back! submitted by adipirro on July 8, 2011, 7:33pm Peter Pan has been given new life in this action packed four book adventure! The names of the books:

1. Peter and the Starcatchers
2. Peter and the Shadow Thieves
3. Peter and the Secret of Rundoon
4. Peter and the Sword of Mercy

This first book is a great beginning and a great series for those who aren't reading fans.

longer than necessary submitted by camelsamba on July 12, 2011, 9:45am Do you want to know how Peter Pan embarked on his career? Read this series! I enjoyed the book, but I feel like it could have been maybe 25% shorter. It felt like many details were just there to prolong the suspense, but didn't really move the plot forward. It just got tiring after awhile. That won't stop me from reading the next book, though.

I started out listening to this, in part because Jim Dale (of Harry Potter book reading fame) was the narrator. I was a bit taken aback when his Black Stache sounded like Hagrid. And then I left the CDs at work and wanted to make progress in the story, so I switched over to print.

Peter and the Starcatchers submitted by halofriendly on July 23, 2011, 8:54pm I've never been the biggest fan of the Peter Pan story, but thought I'd give this a try, since it's always been such a huge seller at the bookstores I've worked at. I finished it and I liked it; I didn't love it, but it was fun to read about the "real" reasons behind Peter being able to fly, why he has no parents, how Captain Hook lost his hand, why Peter doesn't age and where Tinkerbell came from. I haven't decided if I'm going to continue reading the series...

Exciting submitted by Blackberry Elf-Glitter on July 13, 2013, 2:40pm I wonder if this is the original... hm.. whatever it is.. IT"S GREAT!!!!!! I started reading the series a long time ago, but now I'm re-reading it because I got confused by the series order. It's such an exciting Peter Pan story!!!!! As the book series goes on, each is with a new generation. Everyone knows about Wendy. the "original" companion. But Molly, Peter's companion in this book, is Wendy's mother. The third book introduces Wendy's child, and so on. After the companion grows up, Peter is just a fairy tale that is told to her kid, and he is spoken of as an imaginary friend. Like in Doctor Who.. the whole girl-companion thing, also the way Amy Pond speaks of the Doctor as her imaginary friend who's real.

performed the play, then read the book submitted by Sabrina Carlson on July 20, 2018, 3:54am after putting on the play Peter and the Starcatchers for a school play, our teacher gave us each a copy of this book. i am very glad she did because it has been an easy, pleasant read and reminds me of some fun times. great book and the play is delightful

Fun Series submitted by dlfredrickson on August 4, 2019, 12:10pm I love Peter Pan. It's a lot of fun to be able to explore more of his world.
