Daryl Isaacs, Morgan Spurlock, Bridget Bennett, Lisa Ganjhu, Alexandra Jamieson, Stephen Siegel.
Filmmaker Morgan Spurlock embarks on a journey to find out if fast food is making Americans fat. For 30 days he can't eat or drink anything that isn't on McDonald's menu; he must eat three square meals a day, he must eat everything on the menu at least once and supersize his meal if asked. He treks across the country interviewing a host of experts on fast food and a number of regular folk while downing McDonald's to try and find out why 37% of American are now overweight. Spurlock's grueling diet spirals him into a metamorphosis that will make you think twice about picking up another Big Mac.
DVD; widescreen.

COMMUNITY REVIEWS

scary! submitted by pmysore on August 21, 2011, 10:27am it took a lot of guts for morgan spurlock to abuse his body so that the rest of america could see the harm that fast food industry is doing to our lives.

EWW to Junk food submitted by leehannah on June 21, 2012, 3:41pm I've had McDonald's less than 5 times in my life. I never wanted to eat any really unhealthy food from then. I thought the main person who played this movie was almost crazy to do that to his healthy body. I think that this movie was really a success. I also think that this movie should be more widely known so that the obesity in our country can decrease.

Super Size Me submitted by SBNB on July 11, 2012, 10:50pm It's definitely interesting, but his findings aren't all that surprising. Everything should be done in moderation. After all, even drinking too much water can hurt you.

super size me submitted by a2sue on July 3, 2014, 4:53pm super size me was one scary documentary.

waste of time submitted by Jackie77 on August 17, 2015, 1:23am This is not shocking. Look at the food thats being rolled out of these restaurants with an alarming rate. People are "too busy" to prepare their own food. Most things come in bigger proportions in order to charge more money. Mcdonalds literally makes me sick for days so i choose not to eat it. I worked in fast food and seen firsthand the disgusting things that go on out of sight of the consumer. Why are people shocked by this? Pay attention to the world around you people...it's not that difficult in this day and age.

Fast food freakout! submitted by purchasingqueen on July 10, 2016, 9:40am You will never look at (or probably EAT) fast food the same again!

Eye opening submitted by TLW1998 on July 30, 2019, 9:15pm It really makes you think about never eating fast food again.

Super size me submitted by crp on August 29, 2019, 11:24pm Eye opening and a bit scary !

Let's Get Some Good Data submitted by jibkidder on June 20, 2022, 10:54pm The outcome of this movie is anecdotal and doesn't tell us that much as a result. Maybe we can get this to be a tiktok challenge to see who can survive this diet.
