A Good Tie-In submitted by Meginator on July 6, 2023, 9:27pm This nonfiction companion to the Magic Tree House series doesn’t work quite as well as a standalone educational book as the others due to its limited scope, although it does provide some excellent factual context for the specific story it is tied to. The first chapter covers oceans, setting the stage nicely for the subsequent sections on the biology, behavior, and ecological impact of dolphins and sharks. The prose is clear and much of the information ties in directly with plot elements from the corresponding fictional adventure without being too specific or restrictive, and the book provides profiles of several different species to pique readers’ curiosity. As with the other nonfiction Magic Tree House books, this is a solid introduction to the subject that works even without reading the original book, although the specific juxtaposition of dolphins and sharks makes a little more sense with that story in mind.

Dolphins, and sharks submitted by Gamera on August 26, 2023, 8:22am This book has many facts about dolphins and sharks
