GREAT!! submitted by wulfflynn on July 13, 2013, 9:16pm Awesome movie, Go George Lucas!!

A must see submitted by dimuziom on July 22, 2013, 7:27pm This is an iconic movie. Yes, it borrows heavily from Akira Kurisowa, but in all the best ways. It is a classic Hero's Journey (see Joseph Campell's books for more about that) with laser swords and space fighters and weapons of planetary annihilation. What more could you want? Romance? Check. Comedy? Check. Tragedy? Check. Room for good sequels? Check. If you are alive and haven't seen this, you are doing it wrong. Yes. It. Being alive.

Classic submitted by 0liviap0pp on July 22, 2013, 9:19pm Definitely a classic. A must-see for everyone.

excellent submitted by isaacbrooks on August 4, 2013, 9:48am yet again

Jedis! submitted by crazypockets on August 9, 2013, 2:42pm This is a classic. There's not much I can say here that hasn't been said already, but it's fun for everyone. Older kids, adults, everyone loves this movie. There's action, adventure, and humor. Love it!

Star Wars submitted by leenajong on August 7, 2016, 6:26am One of our all time favorites!

Tried and True Classic submitted by Meginator on July 10, 2017, 9:39pm "Star Wars: A New Hope" is a strange beast, insofar as several of its elements make for subpar cinema: much of the acting isn't particularly convincing, the script is predictable, and the whole thing is obviously cobbled together from George Lucas's various outside influences. Yet, somehow, the whole thing comes together brilliantly, capturing a certain indefinable spark that remains to this day. This is a great movie that is great simply because it is, in some intangible way.

Thumbs up submitted by hollieesper121573 on August 10, 2017, 7:56pm old classic

A classic must see movie submitted by tcrbondy on June 23, 2018, 8:13pm Where the lore of the force and the jedi began, just like from Luke's perspective. Incredible characters get their start here in a movie that launched a legendary legacy

Great submitted by zmclaugh on July 31, 2018, 11:08am A classic film. The beginning of an amazing story!

boo submitted by anupamap on August 17, 2018, 9:15am It was so boring. I did not like it at all, no light saber no action

A Classic submitted by anacoluthon on August 21, 2018, 7:24pm A classic scifi film, that I very much did not appreciate as a small child. I was terrified of the trash compactor scene...

Great movie! submitted by Xris on August 29, 2018, 10:03pm I remember watching this movie in the back of my parents' station wagon, at the drive-in theater in town. It was the best!! Luke was so cute, along with Han!! And I loved the Cantina scene with the music!!!

Classic submitted by jduffy12 on August 31, 2018, 10:52pm Nothing like the original
