Artemis starts out as the one we all love to hate: self-absorbed, conceited, super genius and ultra rich, the nonetheless grows over the course of the series. Some of the over-the-top characterisation is simply hyperbole meant to mock other books in this genre. I also appreciate the strong female characters.
