fascinating submitted by airgood on August 5, 2014, 1:12pm This was a super interesting documentary, examining the Vietnam War from McNamara's perspective. It provided some some fascinating insight and is definitely worth a watch.

Insight comes later submitted by ccrose on August 27, 2019, 10:30pm McNamara was recruited By President Kennedy to serve on his cabinet. The irony was his background. He was a numbers guy for Ford, trimming and shaping labor, looking at efficiency charts, making formulas. Why did Kennedy think McNamara was material for Secretary of Defense? The final moments of the film, McNamara is asked about decisions he made, sending troops over, extending the war into Cambodia. Would he do the same again. The man who sent young men and women to their deaths said, in the midst of the fog of war, decisions were made.
