Great submitted by Zekicmom on August 31, 2015, 1:57pm Really good movie. Amazing cast, loads of fun.

Classic submitted by markwells on August 20, 2017, 3:29pm Funny. Arguably the best Mel Brooks movies ever made. Grade: A.

Really Funny submitted by majean on August 17, 2018, 12:52pm A wild ride.

Favorite for Halloween time! submitted by Xris on August 28, 2018, 9:38pm Gene Wilder is awesome, and he's joined by Madeline Kahn, Teri Garr, Marty Feldman, Peter Boyle, and Cloris Leachman. The funniest adaptation of the Frankenstein story!!

Young Frankenstein submitted by ccrose on August 3, 2019, 11:19am I never get tired of this Mel Brooks movie. I’m famous for loving really silly humor and this fits the bill. The five actors are equally willing to go full tilt; everyone pulls their silliness weight. Terri Garr plays a delightfully sincere ditz, enamored of Gene Wilder’s shaky brilliance. Monty Feldman, the actor who made his mark through his exopthalmic eyes (bug-eyes), played his lines w a straight face.
I’ve already started a list of movies I want to have available when I go to a nursing home, in the distant future.
This one’s in top ten.

Unbelievably good and funny, from beginning to end. submitted by Tassos on September 28, 2019, 6:39pm A BRILLIANT Comedy, one of the best ever made, and one of my all-time favorite movies. If I had a choice to take only 5 or so DVDs, this would be among them,

maybe a Woody Allen comedy ("Love and Death" is quite good)

also Citizen Kane, Best Movie ever made

Dial M for Murder or another good one from the great Hitchcock,

and above all "Wild Strawberries" my favorite from the best ever Ingmar Bergman

just off the top of my head.

Classic! submitted by KatieD on August 9, 2021, 5:52pm This movie is one of my go-to films whenever I'm in the mood for a good laugh!

Young Frankenstein Never Gets Old submitted by OlfactoryBookworm on August 6, 2022, 12:51am Funny as heck. Funnier still when you know that the neigh you hear at the call of “Frau Blucher” is that of a horse responding to the German word for “glue” (which was once made of body parts of dead ungulates, ahem, horses).

Brilliant submitted by tarascon on October 29, 2023, 10:57am Brilliant
