Nora Rowley submitted by unknown on July 21, 2014, 1:26pm Nora's voice is really, really strong in this book.
Really good book submitted by egglass8 on June 16, 2015, 7:11am This is a really great book. I like the author's other books, The Janitor's Boy and such. This one is great.
Story of a very smart girl with average scores submitted by paninii_123 on July 1, 2019, 12:44pm The book “The Report Card” Nora Rowley has a very strong voice. Nora is actually very smart but she gets average scores. On her report card she has a “D” grade so her parents get very concerned so they talk to the principal and she has some one take Nora’s IQ test. She has a very high IQ and gets put in the gifted program. She doesn’t like that so she does some very crazy things. I will leave it to find out. Andrew Clements has really put a lot of effort into the book to add some very peculiar aspect to Nora. He has also put a lot of character into parents. If you enjoy this book you might also like “Frindle” which is also by Andrew Clements.
Testing Skills =/= Smarts

A great commentary on our education systems and the functions of testing! I remember reading it as a kid and relating to the way the main character Nora feels.
It really shows off how smart kids are, along with the power they have!
