The lyrics tackle a variety of subjects with sincerity, though they can tend toward the saccharine, and the best track ("When the Sun Goes Down") hints at Chesney's future musical direction. The overall effect is pleasant, if a bit muted, and the album should appeal to a wide audience within and beyond those who enjoy country music.
