After her death at the hands of The Master and a summer vacation spent with her father, Buffy returns to Sunnydale in a strangely withdrawn and snappy mood. She's also determined to break off her relationship with Angel and seems a little too eager to renew her Slayer training. But getting Angel out of her blood proves to be harder than she thought. And as the two draw even closer together, their passion erupts into a danger neither of them could have forseen - affecting not only Vampire and Slayer, but all of Buffy's friends and family, and even her Watcher...

COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Surprise! submitted by brady.emmett on July 27, 2011, 7:45am The show really finds its pace and place in the second season. We get lots of chemistry from all of the cast, as relationships are formed all over the place. We get Oz and Cordelia inducted to the Scooby Gang for reals, and Spike makes his first appearance. The overarching theme of the season is the Buffy / Angel relationship, which definitely has its moments.

The name of the first episode really nails it. Lots of surprises on this disk. I won't ruin them, but they are fantastic episodes, including the appropriate use of a rocket launcher!

A Great Jumping Off Point submitted by chuntoon on June 30, 2012, 11:25pm This is the disc I use to introduce people to this incredible series. Things really get cooking... AMAZING.

Poor oz submitted by llwalsh on July 7, 2014, 7:25pm This disc includes a pretty important life event for Oz. It's a must if you want to understand his dynamic with Willow in the future
