COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Enjoybale submitted by aschling on March 15, 2010, 6:07pm I had to watch this movie for school, and I'm glad I did. The whole concept was interesting and disturbing. The things that Vincent has to do in order to accomplish his dream without being a "Valid" are extreme. Although most of the people believe in the valid and in-valid system, there was a pleasant surprise. I don't know what I was expecting the end to be but part of it surprised me, in a good way. I don't want to give anything away so you will have to watch it to find out!

Gattaca submitted by faiyafrower on June 23, 2011, 7:30pm This was an intense movie! It demonstrates the power of personal will over a society dominated by genetic engineering, where people are limited by what their genes "predetermine" them to be.

Good Science Fiction submitted by DBJC on June 24, 2011, 6:10pm This is one of my favorite movies, I have to admit. It's good science fiction and puts a new face on space flight. I'm pretty biased because I want to be an astronaut, but I'm unbiased about how well it shows the value of the human spirit. It's a very interesting story and for about two hours makes life seem conquerable even with all the obstacles.

Libertarianism submitted by beeniepie on August 11, 2013, 11:44am Anytime I read about the libertarians screaming about privacy rights, I think of this film. It's one of Jude Law's best turns.

Sci-fi Thriller submitted by ekharris on August 6, 2018, 12:13pm Good movie about a dystopic future filled with 'designer babies'. Very interesting.

Good submitted by sydcha on August 6, 2019, 7:03pm A good movie that explores the dangers of genetic modification, I really enjoyed watching this. The concept is great and it had some really emotional moments.

Interesting submitted by ramcgarty on July 17, 2021, 7:40am This movie is definitely a thought provoker. It makes one think twice about what is important in life and how we can take so much for granted.
